The following text accompanied the project as part of the V4+ 2024 “Central European Family Houses” traveling exhibition.

The CLT Family House, designed by Blokk Architect Studio, represents a contemporary approach to sustainable residential architecture. The building showcases cross-laminated timber as a defining material, not only as a structural solution but also as a key element shaping the house’s spatial and aesthetic qualities.

The extensive use of wood creates a warm, tactile living environment, where material presence plays an active role in the experience of space. Beyond its technical performance, timber contributes to the sensory character of the house, influencing perception through sight, smell, and touch.
